The man on the Lake.

There was a man on the lake. He put his line off to the starboard side and eased back into his chair. The man felt a slight tug on the line then the line started to fly across the water. He jumped up and started reeling in what he had caught. He faught with the fish for an hour it seemed but it was just off his boat, but the man was startled when he saw what came up..... The fish, or what ever you would call it had legs and covered the boat with it's shadow. The man was terrified, he was speechless and couldn't move. The beast leaned over so he was an inch from the man's face and......... The man woke up, just in time for dinner.

Richard Milhous Nixon

Richard Nixon was born in 1913 and died in1994. He was born on Jan. 9, 1913 in California. He was born into a poor family. His parents didn’t like the working class life-style that they lived, and had colonial traditions, and were godly people, although I am not sure that all of the godliness passed on to Nixon. Nixon went on to Whittier College. He excelled in debate and became president of the student body before graduating in 1934. Three years later he became a law graduate of Duke college. The first year he was there he was on the top three people according to his academic reports. While in Duke he had broke into the dean’s office to figure out his grades with a couple friends, this was thirty-six years before the Water Gate break-in. The only difference was that in the Watergate he was caught, and the amount of publicity. The Watergate Scandal was only linked to Nixon by the fact that he tried to stop the investigation of the break-in. One of the friends that he was with was William R Perdue, he became Vice President of Ethyl Corporation, and the other was Fred Albrink who became the Captain of the Navy. During WWII Nixon joined the Navy and became a Operations Officer. He was Vice President under Dewight D Eisenhower. He ran and lost to J.F K. in the 1960’s vote. He ran and won the 1968 election, and “stepped down” in 1974, halfway through his second term. He was the 37th President of the United States. He was the only president who resigned from office. Nixon resigned rather than being impeached. He was a republican and a former US senator.
